The word Panch means “five” they for Panchgai means “Five Villages” (Jakhol, Pawn, Sirga, Fitari and Liwari). It is surrounded by “five tourist hills” (Dev Kyara, Bharadsar, Harkidun, Lekha Top and Kedarkantha) at the foothills of the Patti Panchgai Himalaya.
The main purpose of naming our camp and home stay after Panchgai is to discover and build famous tourist destinations adjacent to the unseen and unexplored mountainous Himalayan villages of Uttarakhand.
Patti Panchgai is a large strip, which consists of 14 villages; the main center of this strip is Jakhol. The temple of Shiva Someshwar Mahadev is the main temple of three stripes Ador, Panchgai and Barasu.
Jakhol is not only famous for its scenic beauty and tranquility but also has depth insight stories of Devi and Devtas (God & Goddess)
A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents.
